Best of all, they’re often within walking distance of stores, schools, restaurants and churches.

If you choose to live off base, you’ll receive a housing allowance that will probably cover most of your rent. You’re free to choose where you live, but you’re sure to find yourself returning to base to enjoy the luxury of tax-free shopping, discounted groceries and free medical care that will help lower your overall cost of living.

Your World of Opportunity

As an officer, you’ll enjoy 30 days of vacation with pay (compared to civilian jobs that offer two weeks) during which you can take advantage of available space on Air Force aircraft. You can fly to exotic destinations, including Italy, Australia, England, Germany, Japan and almost any state in the U.S.

If you’re stationed internationally, your family will receive extensive aid to relocate. After they arrive, you can spend your free time together exploring your local area.
